louise Eischen

Iam looking for my fathers aunt and cousin. Louise Eischen was born in 1905 to Mike and Lena (weber) Eischen, in MN. Her siblings were Leo; and Cecelia from MN. then they eventually moved to western wisc. with there parents to turtle lake area. When louise was grown she moved to N.Y. Where she met her husband ( whom had come from Italian origin)(have no idea on his name). But his parents, or just himself had a resteraunt/supper club there. They had 1 child together(born sometime in the 1930's), whom they called junior. They would come visit the eischen family in wisc. occasionally. Where junior played with cousins: john, dick, leroy, and chuck.and there sister. Any information about Louise, her husband, and Juniors real name and location; or even the name of the resteraunt would be very much appreciated.

louise Eischen ?

I am looking for information on a louise Eischen in New York. She was born in MN, or WIS. to michael & Lena (weber) Eischen. Birth date is unsure; could be in the 1890's. She herself moved later to New York to find work, where she met her husband. Her husband and/or his father owned a supper club, or resteraunt there. It was for sure in the 1930's they owned the resteraunt.they were also Italian. Louise was german. Louise and her husband had one child, they called "junior",whom I believe was born in the early to mid. 1930's. Louise and her husband died just a few months apart from each other. And we have no Idea what ever became of "JUNIOR".
If anyone has any info on who louisee married. Or Juniors real name. Please reply. Thank You.

Their daughter Lena (b.26 Mar 1885 d. 6 Aug 1976) was my great-grandmother.
I would love any information on Maximillian and his descendants as well as his ancestors.
BTW, Patricia, I spent many a happy hour in the general store in Two Inlets!

Clar Forbush

My great great grandfather was Martin Eischn born Feb 18, 1808 in Mensdorf, Lux. His father was Johann Eischen a shoemaker and his mother was Gudula. If you have any information about Martin pleas let me know. I am also looking for a Michael Schuller and his wife Mary Ann Schilz Schuller who came to the United States in about 1847. His obituary says that the Luxembourg Society came to his funeral. That leads me to believe that they came from Luxembourg. If there is a way that you could look this up I would appreciate this. Thank you, Mary Ann

My list shows 10 children! Mary was my great-grandfather's sister. I remember my sister who still lives in OK, used to have funeral notices from some of her cousins. I do know that my grandmother and her sisters used to visit them back and forth until they passed away. I believe most of them were significantly older than my grandmother as she was the next to youngest in a family of 9. Since grandma and sisters often stole each others birthdates, I'm not sure how much older I would say 20 years at least. My list shows Josephine, Martin, Mary, Peter, Nicholas, James, Louise, Frances, Edward, and Carrie.

There is a handful of us (Eischen's) here in the Upstate NY area. I have a 'koozie'/t-shirt from Eischen's bar in Oklahoma, and have always wanted to visit.
My greatgrandfather's sister was Mary Backes who married Peter Eischen in MN. She was born in 1851. They had 10 children and moved to OK. I am working on family history and would love to exchange info with you. We have quite a few Eischen photos to share if you are related. Please respond to smithretsmith@aol.com.

John Eischen (1816-1889) son of Anton Eischen and Susan Weigert. His daughter Elizabeth married Peter Storch (ending up in IL) and daughter Margaret married John Storch (WI). Other children - wherabouts unknown. He may have had a brother Nicholaus who changed his name to Eisch/Ash and stayed in NY. Looking for further info on his parents and their town of origin in the old country. We have been told it was in Belgium, possibly a town called Stockoon. Anyone familiar with this town? Where is it located on a modern day map?

I believe your grandmother was married to my Uncle, Edwin Marok. His first wife, Florence, passed away in 1958 and he remarried an Evelyn. I had no maiden name for her, however there were 6 Nowakowski boys listed as his stepchildren. I believe they had two children of their own: Ralph and Catherine. If you are interested in any of the Marok family history, please contact me at sylswgn@cox.net.
I am looking for a Martin Eischen that came over from Luxunbourgh. He was my great, great grandfather. He was married and he alone went out west for a while then just disappeared, I believe to Minnesota. He was married at the time but just left his famly and noboby ever heard from him again, but it was rumored he was in Minnesota. I don't know much because my grandfather was very little when this happened and nobody talked about it. I would love to learn more about my heritage but don't know where to start. I don't have any dates of birth or anything. You said you had a manifest, was wondering if his name is on it. Any help you could give me would be greatly appreciate. I know this is probably a lost cause but I really want to learn more about the history of my family.

Dorothy - we are researching descendants of Mathias Berg also. My husband's
grandmother, Marie Berg Anzia was the grand daughter of Mathias Berg. Her
mother was Margaretha Zoellner and Wilhelm Mathias Berg from Milwaukee. Sue
is descended from one of Marie's brothers (John Henry) and Tom is descended
from one of Marie's sister's (Anna). I believe Bill is descended from
William Mathias Sr, brother to Marie.

Would love to hear from you on this branch!
Glad I could help....The book is a family book that one of the elders put together in the 70's and 80's. My daughter married into the Eischen family in Toledo and was "loaned" the book. I'm not sure about the copyright for it, but I'll ask. It seems simple enough to copy since it was not all that thick. I used it as a basic for some of the other info I'm found.

I've not done a great deal on the Marcum's....and it's been a while since I did that. This is my adoptive mother's side and have tried to put some of it together for my brother, her son and his famly.

Good luck in your research....and thanks for writing.

My mom is upset because after Peter and Mary Catherine had Louise (according to the Ancestry.com family tree) they didn't have any other children. There are 9 more and my mom is the daughter of one of them, Josephine. If you have any hints how I can get these people added to the Ancestry.com family tree, let me know. Ancestry.com won't answer my requests. I've tried everything.

Carol,

Thank you so much! I found you tree info - - it contains much info I do not have. I don't know how I missed it before. It's been quite a while since I've worked on Gen. due to an illness in the family. I am interested in the book you reference. Do you have a source for purchase?
Thanks again!

Shannon Herren

By the way, it is interesting all the other possible ties in our trees. Eischen is my father's side. On my mother's side, there are Marcums from Hardin Co KY, but not the same first names.(She is a Brandenburg.) My husband is a Herren, and we've been told that most Herren's, regardless of spelling, relate back to the same people. :)
