Was not allowed contact with grandmother over bitter divorce. Not even sure what Mr. Eisel's first name was.
She lived in Columbus, Frankling County, Ohio. I know she died in May 1971 in that city, was a Presbyterian, listed only her adopted son and not my father. Obit gave no dob. Cannot locate SSN as i do not know her maiden name. I know she was a member of Daughters of America but am having no luck on locating that organization. Also member of American Legaion Auxiliary Camp Chase Post 98. Have not been able to get far with any of this.

Have always wanted to know more. she kept up with me through Pomeroy OH newspaper and called me when grandmother who raised me passed away. She died before I could get to Columbus to know her, though I did attend her funeral and son could/would tell me nothing.

If you can help me I would appreciate it. My need to know now includes medical information.

My maiden name was Carolyn Anne Bell, born in Columbus 1943, to LeRoy and Harriette Bell. I think my grandfather's name was Fred Bell. My mother has had Alzheimers for several years now, so I really am running out of ideas unless I can get in touch with one of organizations to which she belonged.

Thank you,
Carolyn Tonahill
Tonahillc@bellsouth.com

Hello to the Eisel board!

I'm posting this message for 2 reasons:
1) Who are these people?
2) If you know who they are, you might like to see their pictures.

Going through boxes of photographs from our ancestors, of course we almost always find some photos of people that we categorize in the "mystery file." Even with the names clearly marked on the backs of these pictures, we still haven't a clue as to who these people were and meant to our own.

That said, I have before me several photographs from the 40s and 50s with any or all of the following identifiers written on the backs:

"Bill Eisel - T/Sgt. Air Force - Alhambra, Calif. - taken Nov. 1951 - Biil Eisel - April '45 - Civil Air Patrol - Bill & Betty Eisel - Hollywood, CA - Oct 1947 - Betty Eisel - April '45."

If you think these might be your people, please contact me.

Kim
