I have a grandfather who was born in 1905 in Galicia. Not sure the town but can check with my mother. He moved to Toronto in the late 20's. He brought over a sister and brothers and his mother. His father died in Europe.
He passed away in 1983. His name was David Eise. May have originated as Bigeleisen????
