Geraldine E. Proudfoot Eisen
Geraldine E. Proudfoot Eisen, 89,
a resident of McKean, died Thursday morning October 23, 2008 at the Village at Luther Square following a short illness. A resident of Erie since 1971, she was born in Meadville, Pa. on June 18, 1919 a daughter of the late William Proudfoot. Geraldine was a 1937 graduate of Meadville High School and had belonged to the McKean Golden Agers. She was an avid flower gardener and enjoyed hiking, walking, fishing, and cross country skiing. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 60 years, John B. Eisen; two sisters, Marian Hastings and Joanne Scheu; and one brother, Carl Proudfoot. Survivors include three sons, Carl Eisen of Buchanan Dam, Texas, Gerald Eisen and his wife Katheryn of Henniker, N.H. and Leland Eisen of McKean; seven grandchildren; and seven great grandchildren. Two nieces and two nephews also survive in Florida. Friends may call at the Russell C. Schmidt &Son Funeral Home Inc., 5000 Wattsburg Road (corner of East Gore and Pine Ave.) on Monday from 11:00 a.m. until the time of services at 1:00 p.m. officiated by Rev. George Kennedy. Burial will be in Greendale Cemetery in Meadville.
