Eisenbeis "German royalty"

My great-great-grandmother was Patronella Eisenbeis and she was a countess in Germany. She married her peasant gardener, John Sonderman but her parents did not approve. They fled to America together and she was pregnant with twins (Johan and Johanna) before they arrived and settled in Ohio. Johan (John) was my great grandfather and had 9 children of his own. I don't know whatever happened to his twin sister (Johanna) though.

I am currently searching for anyone whom has a connection to JOHANN WOLFGANG EISENBEIS(S) and ANNA BARBETTE HUBNER and their children. As far as I have researched, they arrived together, unmarried, in NY on Nov 8, 1861. They married sometime between Nov 1861 and Jun 1862, began their family in Chicago, IL and became the parents of 7 children between 1862 and 1879. JOHANN (died young), HELENA (m. Don't know if you will get this but here goes. Your Elizabeth married my Benjamin Weaver on 25 Mar 1860 in Elkhart, IN. Children appear as Mary E. (your Mary Emma), Melvin D., Sarah Ella and Benj. Franklin.
Benjamin was the brother of Michael Weaver whom was my GG Grandfather.
I have Mary E. married to Levi Cripe with a daughter Mabel.

Peter is the son of James K. Eisenbise and Catherine Elizabeth Reber. He is descended from Johann Georg Eisenbeis born 1737 immigrating in 1751. They mainly stayed in the Reading, Berks Co. area. Peter's daughter Florence was my maternal great grandmother.

I am wondering what the Eisenbise lineage for your Peter is. Did they come from the children of Frederick & Margaret (Ulrich) Eisenbise. Mine is from Wm. the 6th child. My family were in Ohio then in northwest IL. Where did the family go when they came to the US until they got to Miami Valley, OH? I hope someone can help me.

Perhaps your Elizabeth Hate is related to my GrGrGr Grandfather, George Hate, born Apr.24.1821 ,from Ohio.and Elkhart,Indiana. He married Elizabeth Ohl..Not exact date known. maybe around 1845. Their first born, John Hate. Jan.16.1846. Which is my GR GR Grandfather. etc. Maybe your Elizabeth is a cousin to my John Hate. ??????

I just received an email with this same question from Phil Ritter. Here is what we came up with so far:

William Eisenbeis married on 20 November 1851 to Rachel WEAVER 1825-1916. see http://geneweb.inria.fr/eisenbeis?lang=en;i=138

William's father we have listed as Friedrich Karl, however some documents indicate that he might have gone by Friedrich Charles as well. See the notes refering to Samuel's father as Friedrich Charles at:

Many of the men in this family line went by their middle names. So, I am betting that This Friedrich Karl "Charles" remarried, if not married, then at least do-de-oh-doed your Elizabeth after his wife Anna died around 1852, since he lived on until 1859. We Eisenbeis's are a viral
bunch, so havin' kids into our 60's is not unheard of for our clan.

Please let me know if you find any tangible news.

I have Peter living in Lima Township, IL in 1860 census. I have 3 wives, Julia Ann Elder, Polly Brown and Rebecca ? I can't remember her name but will work on it. He is buried in Arnold's Grove cemetery, near Mt. Carroll, IL. Son William's obit says he had 1 full sister and 11 half brothers and sisters.

Elizabeth Hate married to ? Icenbice

I'm looking for information on Elizabeth Hate (Haight) that was married to an Icenbice (Eisenbeis, Isenbice, Izenbice) around 1853/1854. This was in either Ohio or around Elkhart County, IN. This Icenbice probably died within a couple of years of the marriage. They had one daughter named Emma or Mary Emma. She was born in 1854 according to the 1860 Elkhart County census. Elizabeth married Benjamin Weaver after his death. Any help in solving this would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you for answering my query. My Grandmother was an Eisenbeiss. Her ancestry is difficult to research as she was orphaned quite young and didn't know her parents name. I have been trying to do a limited search with little success. Anyway it is with pleasure that I have made contact with another with the same surname. Peter Eisenbeis' first wife

I have been searching for quite awhile for the first wife of Peter Eisenbeis (son of Johann Friedrich and Anna Maria Margaretha Ulrich). The Eisenbeiss home page suggests that his first wife was Polly Brown, but I can find no proof of this. He later married Julia Ann Elder Cook Rutan 6 Feb 1848 in Elkhart Co., Indiana. Any information regarding Peters first marriage (which probably took place in PA) would be greatly appreciated.
