Surnames: Eisenhart, GODSO
I have no information about the Eisenhart line. I am interested in learning anything you wish to share about the ancestry of John Godso, Fannie’s father.
John Godso, chr. 1819 at Stafford, Warwick., Eng., and emigrated to Plattsburg, Clinton Co., NY. John Godso married (1st) Charlotte (maiden name not known). Among their children was Fanny, born about 1855.
John Godso’s younger brother was Albert Richard Godso, born 25 Dec. 1829 (according to family Bible record) ;chr. 26 May 1828 at St Martin, Birmingham, Warwick., Eng. Albert is my ancestor.
The Godso tombstones in the Riverside Cemetery, Plattsburg, N.Y., include:
1819 John GODSO 1877 /
His Wives /
1827 Charlotte C. 1864 /
1840 Jean G. 1915 /
Nelson G. / ESINHART / 1856 - 1910 /
His Wife / Fannie GODSO / 1855 - 1915 /
Thanks
