I am trying find proof that Electa had a child and gave it to her aunt and uncle, Mary & Henry Oakley to raise. They raised the child as Stanton born 1880 in New Haven, Gratiot County, Mich. THe Oakley's also adopted James Eisenlord (Electa's brother I believe) after their father Peter had kicked all the kids out after their mother had died. THe adoption does not appear to have been filed legally, however since it was between family members this is not uncommon. Any and all help appreciated. Regards - Steve Strachan sjstrachan@comcast.net
