Hello- Iam trying to research the Eisenman line for my children- the only information I have is my ex-husband - I know nothing of his family and there is no contact- however there are many Eisenman's in Perryton and Dallas Ft.Worth. Iam trying to research past Tommy Troy Eisenman: dob 1943 (ex-father in-law) but I don't know where he was born or who his parents were. There are public records with phone number for them. His is married to Mary V Capps with three sons: Troy M, Ronnie L, Gregory M. and many cousins listed. Should you have any information please contact me and good luck. Tricia

Possibly. I have NO info on the McGlynns at all, other than how Grace McGlynn relates to John Cyrus Eisenman. I think someone told me there a couple of brothers in the area --a John or Michael and an Edward, but I can't say for sure.

I have a 19 page document someone sent me recently on the John H. Eisenman family, but there isn't anything there on her or the McGlynns.

As for Brosius families and variant spellings, nothing there except when Emma Brosius married John Henry Eisenman, Jr. and their children's names and dobs. And I found a census record showing Emma's subsequent marriage to a Monroe Weikel, and it shows Cyrus and his brothers living in their home (1920 Black Creek Twp. census) and Grace McGlynn living with her children elsewhere.

ANY info is helpful. I can exchange the info I have on the Eisenmans with you. I think it's in Adobe as well.

Anna Eisenman, Elk County, Pa

I have no connection to the Eisenman surname other than for the fact I am compiling a booklet, for my own interest, about former early and rural school teachers once of Elk and nearby counties. Anna Eisenman's name was lists of teachers for the Ridgway Boro school ( 1906) and the Lake City, Spring Creek Twp. school (1901). I would like to learn more about Anna's teaching career. Possibly Anna married but if she did I have not been able to find out that name. I would appreciate any information about Anna's teaching career. I found in a book at a local library in section noted as, "representative citizens" the following information about the Eisenman surname: Samuel Eisenman..... a pioneer merchant of the east side of Dubois....has had a business there since 1885...... was born in Clarion county April 2, 1849,......son of Joseph H. and Catherine (Hooper) Eisenman...... His father, Joseph died , age 57 years old on February 8, 1877 in Clarion county...eight children were born to Joseph and Catherine (nee Hooper) Eisenman: John; Hiram (father of Ann Eisenman), Mary Ann (widow of Benjamin Hurley); Samuel A., Ambrose; Amos, Joseph and James.
Hi Rhonda,
Yes this is the same family. I had the pleasure of meeting Doris Weisner in Alsace a few years ago. Her work is excellent.
The "Peter" mentioned in my post is "Peter Eisenmann" from Herbitzheim. The Maria Catherine Koepple is daughter of Michael Koepple and is slightly off to the side of the group you outline but joined at "Hans Peter Koepple" and (I don't have my genealogy on this computer any longer) if memory serves me he is Hans Clemenz's brother

I'd love to see your verification. According to Doris Wesner's "Alsatian Connections" and german church records Johannes Koeppel (1618-1703) had a son, Hans Pieter (bapt 3 Advent 44) who married (1) Margaretha Schreiner (1648-1703) on 11/19/1667 in Dehlingen and then married (2) Anna Magdalena Reiff (1677-1720) on 11/20/1703. Hans Pieter and Anna Magdalena had a son, Johannes Clemenz (1704-1773) who married Anna Barbara Reb (sp. var Reeb) (1708-1774), whose son Johann Andreas (1732-1819) emigrated to America on the ship "Boston" in 1764. Are these the same people you are discussing??

This has been transcribed online by the University of Pittsburgh- the main address is; http://digital.library.pitt.edu/ . I think you type in your search words, and it will hunt for you. If i find the specific address, I will post it here.
I would love any more info on Wadburga and Jacob- do you have any info on their parents or siblings?

Looking for info on the Eisenman family in or near Hazleton, PA. John Cyrus Eisenman married a McGlinn/McGlynn and had William, Edgar, Dale, Floyd, Dorothy and Marie. William is my grandfather.

Ms McGlinn/McGlynn apparently had other children prior to this marriage with a spouse or partner, named Grace and Ruby, last names unknown.

Ms. McGlinn/McGlynn then divorced Mr. Eisenman and later married a Henry Vogt. I don't beleive they had any children together.

Any info on any or all named persons is appreciated.
These Eisenmans are from Ohio, in the Butler County and Hamilton County (near Cincinnati) area, apparently.

My Eisenmans are from Luzerne County Pa, if anyone has info on them that would be much appreciated.
I will do census look-ups for Eisenmans who post to this board. Will do them in my free time, time permitting, and will post what I find to this board for the benfit of others.

My Eisenmans are from Luzerne County PA and I would appreciate info on them from anyone who has any!

John Henry Eisenman married Emma ? and had Cyrus Eisenman, Norman, Herbert and Emma Eisenman; Emma Eisenman (the mother) then married a Monroe Weibel and had Rita Weibel. I do not know anything about Emma, Monroe, Rita, Herbert or Norman or Emma Jr.

Cyrus, John's son, married Grace McGlynn and had Floyd, Edgar, William, Dorothy and Dale, and also possibly a Grace and Ruby (Grace and Ruby may have been from a previous marriage) and also possibly a Donald. William is my grandfather and is still living. He married Edith Louisa Brunn of Hazleton, and their daughter Mary Lou is my mother.

At one point, Cyrus Eisenman disappears or he and Grace split up, and Grace later marries or lives with a Henry Vogt; later in life they move in with Dorothy Eisenman, Grace's daughter, and Dorothy's husband, Stanley Roby.

That's all I know. Anyone with ANY info, let me know!

Florence Eisenman, Spring Creek Twp., Elk County and Lawrence county

I am not related to the Eisenmans but I am putting together a booklet, for my own personal interest, about former rural and early school teachers once of Elk and nearby counties.
Florence Eisenman was born in Hallton, Spring Creek Twp. in 1893. Her parents were Hiram and Mary Elizabeth (nee Daugherty) Eisenman. Florence attended rural schools and eventually began her teaching career in rural school systems. I don't know if she graduated from the Normal School system or if her first teaching position even required such a degree.
Florence taught in the Johnsonburg, Pa school but later moved to Lawrence county, Pa where she accepted a teaching positon. Apparently Florence continued her teaching career until retirement from the Lawrence county school system. Apparently she never married. She passed in the year 1975 and burial was in the Morningside Cemetery, DuBois, Pa in the same cemetery as her Eisenman cousins. Unfortuantely, I do not know the name of the school in Lawrence county where she taught making it more difficult to research her teaching career. I have information about her large family, parents, cousins, etc which I am willing to share to whomever is interested. My hope is to find additional information about Florence's teaching career in Lawrence county and I am also hopeful a picture of her might be located. Any and all information will be greatly appreciated.

I also have a lot of information on another of the surnames you are researching - McGlynn. Is Edward J. McGlynn (born 12/23/1864 - in Humboldt, PA) in your tree as well?

My grandmother is Catherine Estelle Madeline Hoffman (Clara Alberta Eisenman's daughter). I have a lot of info. on the Broscious' (and various other spellings) and can send a GEDCOM file over to you if you like.
