I am searching for infromation about Alois Eisenmann who married Hedwig Jakob in Iffezeim, Baden, Germany. Alois was born in 1803 (location unknown, maybe Bavaria). Hedwig was born Oct. 17, 1805 (or 1803) in Iffezheim. Alois and Hedwig were married in the Catholic Church in Iffezheim.

The Jakob family were and are long time residents of Iffezheim. Hedwig's two brothers Simon (born Oct. 29, 1802 in Iffezheim) and Damien (born Sept. 27, 1800 in Iffezheim). Hedwig's two sisters were Caecilia (born Feb. 6, 1796) and Maria Anna Jakob (born Jan. 29, 1789). Simon and Damien later emigrated to America. Hedwig's brother Damien Jakob's first wife was Edelberg/Edelburg Eisenmann (she born May 28, 1806 in Hugelsheim. She died 1840 in Hugelsheim.)). Damien and Edelberg/Edelburg were married August 16, 1825 in Hugelsheim, Baden, Germany. Damien's second wife was Christina Schneider (married April 27, 1842).

Alois and Hedwig (Jakob) Eisenmann arrived at the port of Baltimore July 29, 1840. They were accompanied by three children: Benjamin Aliece (born August 22, 1839); Rosanna (born Aug. 27, 1834) and Anselm (born about 1831, assumed to be their child but so far the shipping records are the only record of his existence).

I want to learn all I can about Alois Eisenmann, his family and is ancestors. Were they long time residents of Iffezheim, or did they move there from elsewhere (Bavaria?), and if so when. Did Alois alone move to Iffezheim or did his family also move there? Was Alois related to the family of Edelberg/Edelburg Eisenmann who married Damien Jakob? If so what was the relationship? Are there Eisenmann descendants still living in Iffezheim or nearby or elsewhere in Germany?
