Friends, Friedrich Wilhelm EISLER is told to be born in a place named Rueden - sometimes I found Hannover as his place of birth.
Meanwhile I found the real name is Reuden, and I wrote a letter to the parish office some times ago. Today I got the reply, and I do want you to know the latest news about your ancestor!
Correct your files, delete all the old dates and names regarding the family you ever got from your friends - mainly in the web :-)
These dates and names are now the true and well documented ones!

All the records are kept by the Protestant Parish of Reuden (Germ. Evangelische Pfarrei Reuden)

Entry in the marriage records (Germ. Trau-Register) 1800-1854, vol. 1826:
"Groom: Friedrich Wilhelm Bernhard EISLER at the time being in service for the inn´s owner SCHOEBE in Predel, and born in Kospoda close to Jena as the only legal son of Johann Bernhard EISLER, inn´s owner in Traubnitz, 24 years old.
Bride: Johanna Christiana, oldest legal daughter of Johann Gottlob TRAUER, citizen here, aged 24 1/2."

Entry in the baptism records (Germ. Taufregister) 1800-1854, vo. 1801 No. 4:
"Johann Christiana EISLER nee TRAUER is born 19.September 1801 in Reuden.
Her parents are Johann Gottlob TRAUER, citizen in Reuden and Maria Rosina RUEMMLER from Profen."

Entry in the marriage records (Germ. Trau-Register), vol. 1848 No.2:
"Friederica Wilhelmine EISLER is married to Johann Gottlob RUDOLPH from Doebitschen - Feb. 1848"

END of the Rueden data.

BTW: They wrote me it took them three hours to find it - so they sent me a bill about DM 180,00 which is about 90 US$!!
Usually the pastors are satisfied with the 50 DM I use to add to my letters for an inquiery, but these Rueden people said they charge like the official state archives (DM 30 for each half hour) . . .

Will write to the pastors of Kospoda, and Traubitz, where we will get more about Friedrich Wilhelm´s parents. I want to get all the Eisler-line - maybe I find out any connection to my Wuerttemberg Eissler families . . .

Nevertheless - I hope you enjoy the newest about your ancestor!

Best wishes and happy hunting
Hanno Gurski
