My records indicate that Thomas Eke (b 1856)of Southburgh was the son of Thomas EKE (b 1811, Shipdam) and Susan. Thomas EKE (b 1811) was the son of Thomas EKE (b 1789, Shipdam), and Dinah (Diana) Durrant.Thomas and Dinah lived most of their lives in Southburgh, where most of their children were born, including Elizabeth EKE (b 1822) my Gt Gt Grandmother, the sister of Thomas (b 1811). Other children of Thomas and Dinah EKE include: James, Charles, Henry,Sarah, Dinah, and Phoebe.
Thomas (b1811) and his wife Susan both died when their children were young leaving Thomas (b1856)and his siblings in the care of their aunts and uncles from what can be made of the census records.
