My mom passed away late 1999 and this was her mother's side of the family. i know my mom would have been able to fill in some of the blanks or at least put me in touch with that side of the family still in England. i should have asked more questions, but these are things we figure out when we are older and our parents have already passed. I wish you luck.
My Elands came from the Yorkshire area of England. Matthew (my great- grandfather) came to Canada in the early 1900's but passed away 6 months after arriving. i have a friend that uses the "pay for use" site for family research that are based in England and he has had quite a bit of luck. I don't think the sites are that expensive, and i have a feeling this will be my next attempt. Again good luck ...Pam
