My information (taken from a family tree on Ancestry) is that George's parents were Leonard Eland (20/10/1720 - 1781) who was born in Howden and Mary Jennings born in 1730 who married on 13/11/1750. Leonard's parents were Thomas Eland and Elizabeth ? both born in Howden C1695.
