I'm looking for information on the father of Cornelia and Edward Elberson, who is the first husband of Ann M. Beatty (assuming they were married). Cornelia was born in about 1856, Edward in around 1862. Ann M. Elberson married Charles R. Beatty in 1870. I think everyone was from New Jersey.
Thanks in advance!

Hi Scotty
I've found that Henry's mother was Adaline Floyd Elberson. Not sure about his father possible Hamelton or Henry Elberson. His mother died in 1860 of the flux. Henry was born in 1860. It looks like Henry was rised by his mother's family & took their name Floyd. So my real name should be Joe Elberson !

Hi Patricia,
My furthest proven Elberson ancestor is Charles Elberson born 1816 in Vincentown, Burlington County, New Jersey. He died and is buried in Beverly, Burlington County in 1883 and his death certificate says his parent were Samuel Elberson and Johannah Scott. He married Sarah Severs around 1834 and they had three children. George, Abigail, and Samuel. My line runs through George who later moved to Wilmington, Delaware. His son William Harry who was born in Rancocas, Burlington County is my Great grandfather. William grew up in Wilmington and later moved to Philadelphia where my grandmother Myrtle was born in 1898. Myrtle is my mother's mother. Myrtle lived in Kansas City near where I grew up and I knew her well.
I would very much like to talk to you about the Elbersons. My Charles Elberson's daughter Abigail married John Wesley Letts (1837-1911) in Beverly in 1859. This suggests to me a very strong posiblity that our Elbersons are related. I have been stuck on this line for over 10 years, this is the first ray of hope in a long time. I had recently been researching Albertson of which there are many in Jersey to see if there was a name change. Early New Jersey records that I have found mention Samuel, Nicholas and Andrew Elberson but I was not able to make any connections. I would be glad to share all that I have. If you are interested you can email me directly at AJWEYER@aol.com Thanks Andy

Hi Matthew, Norman T. is also your great grandfather, as in Norman Timothy. I have not been able to find very much on the Elberson side of the family. Not even the nationality! I keep searching and looking for something on that side of the family. I am even wondering, since I heard that Norman Leslie was adopted if we are not true descendants of the Elberson family and maybe of a different lineage. This is my hobby and I have been searching for 20 years. Take care!
