Hi,it has taken me years to find out that the surname Elbon, in Oxfordshire England alone, began in 1757 (so far that I'm back)as HEBBURN. It was even HEBBERN at some time.

If you go to the www.familysearch.com site for the LDS, and put Hebburn in, you may find your ancestors.

Mine began with John Hebburn born abt 1757, Barton Steeple, Oxfordshire and he married Jane Gibbard born abt 1761, same place.
