I just got started trying to figure out this Elbon puzzle. Apparently we are related. Carrie Ellen Elbon and Harley Elbon seem to be cousins. Joseph Harrison Elbon is my Great Grand Uncle, and so is George Lafayette Elbon. They have an older brother who is James Cylvester Elbon. His wife is Ellen M Shipman, and they are my Great Grand Parents. Their son is William Walter Elbon who is my Grandfather. My father is James Walter Elbon, and I'm James Walter Elbon, Jr.
William Walter Elbon and his wife Francena Nancy Gregory were early pioneers of St. Petersburg, Florida. Their whole family emigrated from Webster Springs, West Virginia, to St. Pete in a covered wagon, in the 1800’s. William Ebon’s name is engraved in a monument in Pioneer Park in St Pete, along with the names of other Pioneers. None of the historic achieves around here seem to know why it is there.
Since Elbon is a unique surname, I am guessing that all Elbons are related. I have so many broken links I haven’t been able to piece the puzzle together yet. It sure would be a big help if you have more of the corrections.
