Hello,while searching for a certain Mrs. Pearl Elders of Madison Co. Illinois 1920- I came across a listing of a Pearl Elders born 1894 listed as widow with dau. Macine age 6 born Ohio. Also in home was a L. Shefferd or Shepperd age 7o as a boarder.
Right now I do not have access to the census records, but I do remember seeing somewhere on another place that she was a nurse. This census was taken in MadisonCo. Ill. around Edwardsville Rd.
My interest in the mother is to find out about a Mrs. Pearl Elders who was an informant on a death certificate in Carbondale, Ill. for a Cora Ellen Cash Peck. Was Pearl a nurse also or a relative of Cora's?

Liberty GA, Jeremiah Elder(s) & Harriet Stubbs

Does anyone have the names of the children that Jeremiah Elder(s) B. 7 Feb 1815 & Harriet Stubbs B. 1815 D. 1840 had before she died? The 1840 Liberty, GA census shows Jeremiah & Harriet living in Liberty with several children.
After her death I can only find proof of Aaron Elder, age 8 living in Liberty with Abner Stubbs (B. 1780) and America Stubbs after the death of Harriet. I found a James, Abner & Penelope, living with a Jeremiah Elder B. 1815 & Elmira J. B. 1849, but I can't prove the link. Still trying to prove father of Absolom Abner Elder, m. Rose Ann Gore in Paulding Co., GA. Their children are, James B. abt 1855, Elizabeth B. abt. 1858, Lucy B. 1864, Jerry, B 1867, Abner B. 1869, Pennie B. 1872 (my gg grandmother), Loise B. 1876 and Charlie, B.?.

I am researching the Elders of GA. My gg grandmother was Penny Elder Wells b. 1-22-1872 Paulding Co., GA & d. 7-30-1906 Dekalb Co., AL.
Her father was Absolom Abner Elder(s) b. 1835 Paulding Co., GA d. 7-30-1906 Paulding Co. GA, 1950 census shows Abner living with a Jeremiah Elder(s). However, in researching I came across a post that said Jeremiah & Elmira J. took children in to live with them after their mother died so I don't know if Abner was one of them. Abner could also be son of Jeremiah, but I can't find proof.
I am confused & have really hit a brick wall with figuring out who the father of Absolom Abner is.
Any additional info provided would be greatly appreciated.

Lewis Elders, age 96, of Ontario went to be with Jesus on August 11, 2007. "Louie" was born on November 7, 1910 in Holland, Michigan. He was a California resident for 80 years and his passion in life was serving God by serving others. Mr. Elders was preceded in death by his wife Dena (1967), wife Elizabeth (July, 2007), son Darrell (1997) and granddaughter Stephanie Dykstra (1999). He will be greatly missed by his children Pat Elders, Deanna Bos, Jerry and Linda Dykstra, Nicky and Dee Sauers, Art and Helma van der Pol, Leo and Joann Noppert, and Dave and Edie Addkisson; nineteen grandchildren and thirty-three great grandchildren. Visitation will be Wednesday, August 15 from 6 to 8 p.m. at Draper Mortuary, 811 N. Mountain, Ontario. Several years ago, I visited Ft. Stewart looking for the gravesite of Jerimiah Elders. James Elders (buried near Claxton, Evans County, GA) was alledgedly married to my great grandmother, Sarah Melissa Thompson. They had four children together.
James Elders father was John (I believe) who married a Ms. Burkhalter after his first wife died?? He is buried in the same cemetery as James.
Someone told me that James' grandfather was Jeremiah Elders at Ft. Stewart. No one knew of any cemeteries or plots in Ft. Stewart when I was there.

I am looking for information on John Elder/s who died 1779 in SC. He had daughter Elinor, who married James Denley, and son Thomas who died 1782, apparently without issue. There was no wife listed in the will of John Elders, so I am wondering if your Sarah could be his wife, having pre-deceased him. Elinor and Thomas would have been born in the 1750's.

Update 2005 : Found Franklin and "Addie" (Elder) Huddleston in TX census 1900, they later migrated to OK. Franklin died in OK,
Addie remarried to Henry J. Landers and are in Pontotoc Co, OK.
Henry and Addie had at least one son Martin Landers. Any help finding them or descendents is appreciated.

Rebecca I got tht information from the Robert Elders side of the family. Robert was Alpaw's half brother that live in Talledega...one of his daughters (Dale) daughters in law told me she had requested information about Robert's social security card and on the application is showed his father as being Andrew...that's how I got that info. Her name is Cindy Jenkins from Talledega...if you want I can give you her email address.

My gradnfather was Edward H. Elders of Alabama. I was born in Oxford Al. Edward was born 1888 and died in 1966. He had a half brother by the name of Robert L. would lived in Talladega...their father name was ANdrew....not sure about the middle name...Andrew Jackson could be my great-granfather.

I too was born in Alabama...Oxford AL. My Granddfather was Edward Hillard Elders...he had a brother name Robert Leroy Elders who lived in Talladega, AL. Unlce Robert lived on Johnson HIll. Edward also had family in Centre...I recall two names GL and Houston Elders.

G.L. and Houstin was my father's cousins,my father was Hoyte Elders and his father was harrison Elders.Houston and G.L.'s father was John Elders And their well all I know is we called her Aunt Drew.There was another cousin named Chandler and I think his father was also John. Say can anyone tell if your James elder is related to Jeremiah Elders who married Harriet Ellen Stubbs. They lived somewhere between 1808 & 1840? If there is a connection here then there will be a connection to the Warnell for whom the cemetry is named after. I am interested in the Warnell/Wornell lines.

Very interested in Elders/Darrance entry. Those were my gg-grandparents and my info says they were married on that date in Tattnall Co., GA by John NeSmith (obtained from 1832-1850 Marriage Book in Tattnall Co). According to family legend, Jeremiah's father was really John C. Calhoun who got James Elders to marry Ann ? and go to GA after JCC got Ann pregnant. Have tried for years to find out where JCC and James Elders were 9 months before Jeremiah was born on Feb. 7, 1815.

I remember us visiting Uncle Robert when he lived on Johnson HIll in Talladega. I remeber one of his daughters...Doris. She nows lives in Marion OH, I think.
