Matt Lewis Elias, Jr.
Matt Lewis Elias, Jr., age 30, formerly of Erie, Pa., passed away Friday, April 11, 2008 in St. Petersburg, Florida.
He was born in Erie, Pa., March 11, 1978,
a son of Matt Lewis Elias, Sr. of Union City and Brenda L. Duke Elias of Erie.
Matt was a graduate of Penn State with a degree in meteorology,
which was his lifelong passion.
Currently, he was enrolled at St. Petersburg College,
working towards an accounting degree.
Matt was a dispatcher for Super Shuttle.
He enjoyed his many birds,
going to the beach, he had a great passion for music including his time spent in drum corps.
He had a wonderful laugh that everyone will always remember. He was preceded in death by his
paternal grandfather, Lewis Elias II
and an Uncle, Walter Duke, Jr.
In addition to his parents,
survivors include his partner
of nine years, Erica Hutton of St. Petersburg Fla.,
a brother Lewis Elias III,
step sister, Kayla Caldwell of Union City, Pa.;
maternal grandparents, Mary Turner and Walter Duke and his wife, Vera;
paternal grandparents, Anna Waldman
and Donna Elias.
Friends may call at the A. Brugger &Sons
Funeral Home, 845 East 38th St. Thursday from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. and 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. Services will be Friday at a time to be announced. Burial in Wintergreen Gorge Cemetery.
