My grandfather was Jean George V. Elie. He was born around around 1890, perhaps in Maine. I was told only that his family were French Canadians who had moved to Maine. I know he had at least one brother in Maine that I met as a child. My grandfather lived in Louisville, KY, for years before moving to Jeffersonville, IN. He passed away around 1964. He had no biological children that I know of, but he and my grandmother, Ethel Pixley Elie, adopted my father Donald George Elie. I would love to find any family I might have in Maine or anywhere else.
