My husband's great grand parents were Wasyl and Vasyllina Elkow (also spelled Ilkuf on homestead records)and came to Canada in the early 1900's. They settled around Two Hills, Alberta and some descendants still live in the area.They came from Nadvirnia, Ukraine and when we were in Ukraine this year, we found that the name there was Ilkif.We met an Ilkif there, but he wasn't related, we think. I would like to corrrespond with any Elkow's or Ilkif's who came from Nadvirnia, Ukraine.
