Is this the Mahlon O (Oscar?) Peters who was the son of Tunis and Francinah Peters?

If so, then did you know if Mahlon fathered a son named Eli and do you have records of his birth and death. I have only found him on the one world record as being born in 1815 as the son of Mahlon and Rachel Meredith Peters. David Peters is the son of Eli and my great great grandfather.

Thank you in advance for responding to my querry.

I am trying to find out who John Elleman (son of John Elleman and Mary John, Quakers) married. He dies in 1807 in Newberry Co., SC. There are 3 children: Jessee, George and Ann. Jessee was born ca 1790.

One lead is that Tabitha (Telitha) Jay (daughter of William Jay) supposedly married a John Elleman. I can't find anything further on that marriage.

Tabitha goes on to marry Ahab Inman ca 1826 and have some children in MIami Co Ohio. It is a 2nd marriage for both of them, as Ahab had previously married Amelia Duncan.

The only other John Elleman that was around then was the son of Enos and he married Susannah Coppock.

Any clues are appreciated. Thanks.

Thank you so much for responding to my post. Any information you come across will be greatly appreciated. This "unknown daughter Day" in my line of Days' is a puzzle. I did find a record of her husband John Blalock--he was in probate court with Simon Day, "unknown's" brother when they were dividing the property of Joshua Boddie, Simon's father-in-law. Simon was married to Sophia Boddie. So I think that is a strong indication that John was indeed married to a "Day". I hope you can find something!

"MY" John Blalock died in 1791 in Newberry Co, SC and was possibly born in 1710 in VA. We believe at least one of his wives was Susannah Lewis. This John did have a son named John who may be the one married to Day. I'll let you know if I find anything along that line.

After marrying Mahlon, they had a daughter, Dora Ellen Peters King, who is my great-grandmother. I would enjoy hearing back from you about the Peters family.

I believe we are descendents from the same Mahlon Peters (b. c1782, d. 1868). I show that my Mahlon married Rachel (b. c1790, d.10/20/1869), lived and died in Darke County and is buried there at the Rose Hill Cemetery. My Absalom (b. c1814, d. 01/02/1872) and your Mahlon are certainly brothers. Do you know if they have other brothers/sisters?

Does your research go beyond Mahlon and Rachel?

I have not been in touch with Norm Peters, but would like to contact him if you could give me his e-mail address.

Thank you very much for your response. Would like to hear more.
