My Ellena family is from the Spring Valley, IL area. We currently live just a few miles south of SV. There are many Ellena and Pomattos in the area. In fact, my Grandfather (Ellena) is distantly related to the Pomatto family in the area.

Hi my name is Serena Castelli and I'm from San Michele Prazzo.
Lando and Ellena are very common surname. Most Lando are from " Borgata Campiglione"(1600 mt) a little borough of San Michele. Most Ellena are from "Borgata Raina" close to Campiglione In 19 century it was very populated but now few persons lives here all the year. Most people moved away for finding jobs. Mountains live was and is very hard but a lot of native come back to San Michele to spent their holydays
Anyway my uncle's name is Lando Luciano. If you're still interested I can do some research.

Hi there
My name is Sue and I live in New Zealand. My great grandfather, Giacomo Ellena born in 1864. He met and married my great grandmother, Esther (Hester) Tiller, in London. We have been trying to trace his family back in Italy and have found a few contacts, but nothing to actually confirm they are his family.

We have since obtained a copy of a birth certificate for a Giacomo Ellena, dated 13 March 1864 from San Michele di Prazzo, along with a copy of his parents marriage certificate, dated 1860. We also received later a copy of this Giacomo Ellenas Baptismal Certificate.

These certificates state Giacomos mother was Maria Catterina Lando, daughter of Giacomo Lando and Nicolina Olivero. Antonio Lando could be Giacomo Landos father.

I have a couple of contacts who link into these people however, they only speak French and I can only speak English. They have sent me a printout on their information and it looks to be the same as what we have here! From memory I think one of them had a Jacques Lando. I am assuming you speak French so maybe you may find out further information for us both?

my brother and me (girl) are looking for our roots in San Michele di Prazzo; our maternal grandfather was Domenico Lando, from San Michele di Prazzo; I think that M C Lando and Jacques Lando were the parents or grandparents; Domenico was born at the end of 19th century and had 6 brothers and sisters;

My husband is the grandson of John Petitti who came from Pertusio to IL early in the 20th century. I have found a connection to Ellena as his brother Peitro, who remained in Italy, I believe was married to Lucia Ellena. I am currently in Switzerland and may make a trip to Pertusio. I have little other information on the family. Can you help?

Our Ellena family came to the US from Pertusio in the Turin area from 1875 on. Most are related to Stephano Ellena and Lucia Pomatto. Some births places are also Valperga and Canishio. I would like to hear from relatives from that area.

I am the great granddaughter of James Savio and Domeca
Pomatto, I have reason to believe Domenica came from Pertusio and James possibly from Valperga....they settled in Spring Valley IL and both lived into their 90's, died in the 1940s I believe. Don't have much info on them otherwise....possibly lived in Braidwood IL 1st...would like to obtain more info if anyone can provide

I am the great grandaughter of Maria Margarita Bertotti. She married Carlo Antonio Marino in 1882. Her parents were Gorgio Bertotti and Angela Maria Pomatto. They lived in Pertusio and Valperga that I have confirmed. They came to the US in 1889 and I believe some of the Bertotti brother(s) came too. Settled in Kansas. Does this make any connection? Would love to find more relatives on this side of the Atlantic.

Te comento que mi Bis Abuelo (el padre de mi abuelo) vino de Chile a Guatemala por los años 1890 a 1910 mas o menos, el nombre era Jose Palmieri y su padre llego a Chille desde Sicilia, tienes alguna informacion por favor escribeme.

My family came over from Italy. I wonder if we are even related. My Grandfather came over in 1907 and settled in Colorado. Then his sister and family came over in1909. I have a little information on him, but not alot.
