Jacob Ellens

My great grandpa was Jacob Ellens. He is from Mcbain Michigan, They ran a cow farm. Jacob died very young at around 30 or so. He married Bertha Scripsema, and had 4 boys, Sy, Ade, Gerald, and Steve. If anyone has any info please email me at morganleigh88@yahoo.com

I am looking for any information on James Ellens born around 1837 in Berkshire - father Thomas Ellens, Shipright born in Whitehaven, Cumberland, England, in 1821. Does anyone have any information please?

Hallo Diana,
I was adopted into the Ellens family when I was four,My
great grandad was a James Ellens.In the 1881 England census he's listed as being born in Berkshire and is aged 44yrs which puts his birth around 1837.He's listed as a verger and his wife was an Ellen Ellens aged 38. they had 7 children one of which wasmy grandad.
I don't know much about him as I'm currently tracing my own birth family tree.
His children on the census are
Caroline aged 20 born in Devon occupation laundress.
Emily aged 15 born in Hertfordshire.
Charlotte aged 13 born Middlesex
George James (my grandad) aged10 born Middlesex
Mary aged 8 born Middlesex
James aged 3 born Middlesex
Sussan age 11 months born Middlesex.

Sussan is spelt as it is on the census..not sure if its correct or not.
My dad told me that he had relatives down in Cornwall so some of the Cornish Ellens's could be related to you.

I have been looking for family of my gggrandmother Maria Ellens /Hellings who was born in 1840 and from the same area as the person you are looking for. Maria married John Thomas Truen (Various spellings) who was born in 1838.

Has anyone come across the above lady (my gg grandmother) in their researches. DOB around 1837 in (depending on which census you believe) Merther (Merthyr) or Lamorran. She married Edwin Miners of Ladock (the 1841 one). I guess she must have died in the early 20th century as I have a photo, including her, from 1905ish. Her children were Bele(i)nda Jane, MARY ANN, Ellen Marguerta(Margaret), Edward John, Edith Lavinia, William Henry and Richard.
