OBITUARY

John J. Elliott
John J. Elliott of Harrisburg, Pa., a former Batavian, died Monday (Oct. 6, 1986) in Hershey Medical Center, Hershey, Pa., following a long illness.
He was a 1933 graduate of Batavia High School. He was a retired Navy Lt. Commander serving in World War II and the Korean War. He worked as a chemical engineer for the U. S. Department of the Interior.
Survivors include his wife, Mavis Saunders Elliott; a son, John of Harrisburg; a daughter, Patricia Towers of Melbourne, Fla., a sister, Alice Elliott of Buffalo; a brother, William of Rochester; his step-mother, Hazel Elliott of 400 Towers, Batavia; and six grandchildren.
Services were in Harrisburg on Oct. 8. Burial was in Indiantown Gap National Cemetery in Annville, Pa.
