Thomas Elliott was the son of John Elliott, builder, of East Bridge St. in Enniskillen. When his brother William H. Elliott emigrated to Canada in 1906 Thomas sailed for Australia at the same time. It is known that in 1913 he worked at Mount Morgan Gold Mines in Queensland. He was born about 1865/6. He also had brothers Frederick who was in the Royal Engineers, Henry Robert and Samuel and a sister Annabella.
