I think the Ann ELLIS who came with her parents Joseph and "Luany" aka "Laura" is the mother of my ancestor William ELLIS WILLIAMS. It appears that She married William WILLIAMS c. 1939; William ELLIS WILLIAMS was born in 1840, and Ann died in 1842.
There is a Whitestown, Oneida, NY 1850 census showing a 10y/o William E. WILLIAMS living in a household with Elias ELLIS ans Ruth A ELLIS, who I think were siblings of Ann, but I have no proff, fust this circumstatial evididence. To support the theory, Elias and his family moved to Logan, IL around the time William ELLIS WILLIAMS showed up there, post Civil War.
