I believe the Charles Bell Ellis your are seeking was my great-grandfather. His son, my grandfather, was also named Charles Bell Ellis. My father, Robert Clark Ellis, was born in 1921 and is still living in Lincoln, Nebraska. I remember hearing references to "Uncle Elton" when I was growing up and I know the family came from Saint Joe. I have also heard of Mary Malone as one of my ancestors.
I would also be interested in receiving your genealogy. I am particularly interested in establishing that WRT Gainey (born 12/28/1841 in Springville, IN and married Mary Ellen Mitchell) was the son of Sarah Giles and that Sarah Giles later married William Pettifer, possibly in 1844 in Rock Island IL. I have an affidavit from WRT Gainey that his birth was added to the Pettifer family bible in 1844 and that after William Pettifer's death, the bible passed to Sarah Greewood. If you have any records of these facts, I would love to receive them. My email is
mail90275@dslextreme.com

Does anyone have any information on the descendants of Josiah George ELLIS, born Shoreditch 1855? I believe he married twice, in 1876 to Sarah Ann MILLER and, when she died, to her sister Mary Rebecca MILLER. In total I think he had six children, William, George and Nellie with Sarah, and Ernest, Josiah and Frances with Mary.

I'd love to know what happened to them all!

Many thanks.

That's a question I've been trying to answer, too! There doesn't seem to be any record of her. The book "James and Mary Veatch Ellis their sons and other descendants" by Ann-Jannette Emerson printed in 1985 states on page 651, that he was married sometime between 1784 and 1790, but has no name listed. Since he would have been 12 in 1784, I'm guessing the latter date. I don't know if one would have success in Washington Co. PA or not. Their children were Elizabeth, Catherine, Juliett, Rebecca, unknown, Sally, Rachel and John according to the same book.

Ellis were married, had a daughter Pinie May Ellis, 15 Aug 1917. They divorced within a year or so. ? Ellis remarried having more children.
Hello I'm looking for information about a ggrandfather of mine. His name was Ted Howard Ellis he was born some where in Canada on July 7, 1906. He died in Rainier, Oregon on Nov. 29, 1989.
His birth name was Theodore Ulysses Howard Ellis from what I have been told. All we know about his parents was that his mothers name was Mary. And he had a half brother named John.
He was married five times first to Alice M. Parkhill, second to Etta Elizabeth Page, third to Joyce Lines, fourth to Wilma L. Moore and finally to Elizabeth O'Conner. He divorced all but the last one, Joyce remarried to a Alfrod and Etta to Lloyd Tunnell.
He had four children with Etta, they were Ronald Ellis 1931-1991, Joyce Corbaley, Daisy Petersen 1934-2000, and Barbara Ade-Baer.
Any help with this family would be very helpful.
Thank You.
