I am tryng to reach you in regard to Christina Mathilda Jonsson listed in your tree on Family History Search --
Church of the Latter Day Saints.

Chrstina is my GG Grandmother. I just found her on the Sweden Message Board. Her daughter, Signa Axelina
was my Great Grandmother.

I have that Christina came to America 1882 with Carl
Larson and his wife Selma. I have that they came to Salina.

Signa was with a foster family,
Peter and Josephine Charlotte Olson. They came to America
when Signa was 5 years old. Signa lived in Axtel, Nebraska
and married Leonidus (Lon) Alfonso Ross. They had daughter,
Glayds Ross, my Grandmother. She had my mother, Josephine
Charlotte Ross. Mom just passed away in July.

Signa's father was Axel Fredrik Larsson. Christina and
Axel were not married at the time they had Signa.

I am trying to locate the parents of John L. Ellithorp who lived in Canajoharie, Montgomery Co., New York c.1850-1890
He was born abt. 1830 in New York. Married Ellen J. Stafford in 1849. Children were Susie J. b. 1852, Frank E. b. 1855, John S. b. 1864 and Charles H. b.1872. I have a hunch that is father is Isaac Ellithorp of Edinbaugh, Saratoga Co., New York. But I can't find proof. There is an Elisa J. Ellithorpe also in Canajoharie at around the same time as my John. I think they may have been brothers but again no proof yet. I think I can prove that Elisa was Isaac's son. Thanks in advance for any help.

Have you found what you are looking for? If you do a search there is a Danforth Elithorpe listed-born 17 Nov. 1797 & died 14 Nov. 1877 in Lawrence, Nassau, N.Y.

He was the son of Jacob Ellithorpe 1774-1820. There is a long pedigree chart on this family line.

I am also looking for Isabel Watson (b.1561)........at Holmes-on-Spalding Moor, Yorkshire, England. She died 6/25/1634 ....married to Thomas Bingham (b. 1577)....(d. 1623)...also in Yorkshire. They had a daughter named Anne Bingham (b.1597) in Yorkshire,...(d.1666)...in Norfolk, Mass. She married twice. !st to William Sumner....and then to William Thompson. Sounds very similar...doesn't it? She had children w/both men. Her children were "John Sumner".....and "Elizabeth Thompson".....who actually ended up marrying (1/2 bros. and sister). So, please let me know what you think...ok?

Rosa Ellithorpe (Harris?)

Rosa (?) Ellithorpe from Arkansas (maybe Queens area) gave birth to James Harris Johnson Apr 3, 1924 there. Moved from Arkansas to Matador TX around l929/30 when Husband (?) died, to be with sister who was living there at the time. No name for sister. But sister did have daughter named Elsie Cooper. Elsie Cooper eventually married a Joe Campbell. (still alive & in his 80's) I am trying to get info on James Harris Johnson. Does this info connect with anyone familiar with the Ellithorpe folks from Arkansas? Thank you so much.

Mary Elizabeth Bradley Ellithorpe was my mother.

She died on October 22, 1962 from malignant melanoma.

My father Edward F. Ellithorpe die on August 19th 1994.

Jo Ann, do you have the maiden name of Winford's mother, Catherine Ellithorpe?

My family has a letter written in 1841, from Catherine Ellithorpe to "her sister Fanny Gates" in Franklin, Vermont. It is very newsy and interesting. And, it was apparently never mailed because it remains in my family to this day.

My g-grandmother, Ellen C. Ellithorpe (b. Abt 1878 in OK). Her father was born in England, her mother was born in Missouri. She was married to William James See (origninally spelled Seay) (b. Abt 1872 in AL). His mother was born in Texas and his father was born in Alabama. Do you have any information to share? I'd appreciate it. Thanks.

Francis Marion McEuin's (b. 1878) brother Thomas James McEuin (my grandfather, born abt 1875) married Cynthia Rohena See (Originally Seay)(b. 10 DEC 1895). HER mother was Ellen C. Ellithorpe (b. abt. 1878) who married William James See/Seay. Ellen C. Ellithorpe's father was born in England, her mother was born in Missouri. If you find out anything else, let me know.

Washington Irving was a brother to William Alfred Ellithorp.
I have DOB as July 31, 1880 in Gainesville, TX. Father was Owen Asa Ellithorp, mother Sara Jane Daniels.
This line has been well researched.

I can't help with Winford but he is my 1st cousin 3 times removed. I am descended from John Ellithorpe and his wife Elizabeth Chapman Weeks Ellithorpe. My maiden name is Ellithorpe so I have quite a database on some of the Ellithorpes. I do have Winford listed and his sister and brother but no sources. I do have sources for their father John W. Ellithorpe. I also belong to the National Sociey of the Daughters of the American Revolution and joined under John W.'s grandfather, Ichabod Elithorpe.

Just so you'll know there is another Jessie Ellithorpe. She lived in Quinter Kansas with her husband, Harry V. Ellithorpe. They were from Del Norte, Colorado. They moved back there after Dust Bowl in Kansas. They are my grandparents. I have lots of Ellithorpe info. But the best source is Hubert and Vera Ellithorpe's books on film at a Family History Center.

Winford Ellithorpe

Winford Ellithorpe was born about 1831 in Vermont or Lower Canada, the son of John and Catherine Ellithorpe. He had a sister Catherine Susan Ellithorpe Sherman and a brother, Delazon/Delanson Ellithorpe.

The family moved in late 1830's to Kane County, Illinois.

Winford is mentioned in a family letter dated 1844.

Does any one have any marriage or death information on Winford?

Since the last posting found a little more info: Maude Martha ELLITHORP[E]'s parents are Ira Chandler ELLITHORP[E] -{1867-1939] and Josephine Itilia HULL [1873-1929]. Ira's parent's names are W[Worthington Chandler ELLITHORP [E] and Martha FREEMAN. Josephine's parent's names are John Taylor HULL [1842-1898] and Sarah Elizabeth AINSWORTH [1845-1929]. John T. HULL's parents are Josiah HULL and Lucinda FULLER. Sarah's father's name is Luther AINSWORTH. Any info on these families please let me know.

I have no other info on Sarah except b=2/23/1844 in Minnesota and D-10-2-1901. I do have some info from others at home. I don't remember anything further about Sarah, but I will check.

I am searching for information on the McEuin/Ellithorp line. I was wanting to know if you have any information I could get. My great-great-grandfather is Francis Marion McEuin who married Mary Jane Ellithorp. Francis also had a brother William Landrus McEuin who married a Elizanith Ellithorp. If I understand it correctly the McEuin's have another connection somewhere to the Ellithorp line. I'm not sure where, but she is some type of cousin my father just can't tell me where or find the phone numbers he used to have for her. We saw your information tracking the Ellithorpe line from England and we have information to add further down the line. Elvas Ellithorpe was our gg/g grandfather. We have information on his children and their move to Canada and back down to Vancouver, WA.
Our (g)grandmother Elsie is his last surviving child.

My husband is from the Asa Owen Ellithorp Sarah Jane Daniels line. His g-g-g-grandparents. I have quite a bit of info. on the Ellithorp line but no information on the Sarah Jane Daniels line. Just when she was born and died and where.

I looked through my Ellithorp history and could not find any info. on your McEuin family. All I have is the brothers marring
the Ellithorp sisters. Don't even have their parents names. Sorry. I am going to contact a Lela Bell, I hear her father was a McEuin but don't know which McEuin brother she is from. Do you know her?
Do you know who Sarah Jane Daniels Ellithorp's parents are? Have been working on that line for quite some time with no luck. Good luck with your research, D.C.

Thank you for your answer. This is all the info. I have on Mary Jane Ellithorp b. 12-26, 1869 in Wabasha, Minn. married March 10.. 1887 probably in Cooke Co. TX. died Jan. 20, 1907 in Gilmer, TX. husband Francis McEuin. No dates or places on him.

Elizabeth Ellithorp b. Sep. 4, 1875 in Gainsville, Cooke Co. TX. married Nov. 2, 1892 in Cooke Co. Tx. died Jan. 13, 1908 in Duke or Drake OK. husband: William McEuin, no dates or places on him.

I am sure she would be glad to hear from you. I haven't gotten around to call her. Her health has been bad lately.
She has lots of Ellithorp info. and knows a lot of Ellithorp cousins in other states that is also working on her lines. She is not on internet.
