Man Decapitated by Hot Wire Burning Into Neck

Cleveland, Oct 28 -

Erick Els was decapitated today at the American
Steel and Wire company plant. He was drawing a
red hot wire and it broke, releasing from the
tension, suddenly coiled around his neck, which
was burned through in a few seconds, completely
severing his head from his body.

I'm researching my mom's side of the family. Her name is Jacoba Magrieta Els born 1948. My grandfather was Johannes Martinus Els. He lived in Potgietersrus. A lot of the family seem to gravitate around the Potgietersrus/Nylstroom/Warmbaths area. If anyone can help with any info, I'd appreciate it. I'd like to know what my maternal grandmother's names were since she died just before I was born but I am named after her, I am told.
