Ella Hewitt Emhoff died at the age of 51 years in Dagus Mines. Her mother, Eunice, was the daughter of a well-known early resident of Jones Twp., Elk Co,. Rassellas Wilcox Brown and his wife Mary P. (nee Brownell) Brown. I'm still searching for information about E.E. Emhoff, a teacher in 1894, when their daughter, Ruth Emhoff, was born. <title>Ruth Emhoff, Ek County, Pa</title>
      <link>http://boards.ancestry.com/surnames.emhoff/6/mb.ashx</link>
<description>I have no connection to the Emhoff genealogy but I am compiling a booklet about former rural and early school teachers once of Elk and nearby counties. Ruth Emhoff was born October 16, 1894 in Wilcox, Pa, Jones Twp. Elk Co to E. E. and Minnie Emhoff. Possibly Minnie's maiden name was Minnie Hewitt. EE. Emhoff's occupation at the time of Ruth's birth was as a school teacher in Wilcox. I would like to learn more about E.E. Emhoff's teaching career and his education, and his family. Any and all assistance will be greatly appreciated.</description>
