Hi there,I'm not sure if you still check this page, but I just wanted to say hello. My name is Andrew Emma, and I'm living in Philadelphia not far from where our side of the family lived when they first came here to America. I know a bit about our side of the family, which is Emmas and Milanos, and most of us are living in and around Philly still. Let me know if you want to connect and chat about our ancestry at all, take care!

Andrew Emma

Hi Pat,

I would love to share my pictures with you. I could scan them to make copies and send them out to you. I'm a little busy right now, but as soon as my great nephews wedding has passed, I will start.

I don't know if you know this, but my sister Marie passed away in 2008.

Thank you for the memories you shared. I will send you an invitation to this site so you can add stories or pictures, if you like. I know I have many gaps in my information and I have some things wrong...so any help would be appreciated. I want this to be our family's site.

Thank you,

Conchetta

Hi---I am your cousin Patricia Emma--My father was Michael and your father Joe was my uncle----You have great pictures of the Emma family and could you share them with m? Unfortunately, I do not have any poictures of our uncles, aunts and grandparents. Your mom was my Aunt Josie and she always called me Baby---I had a brother Frank who passed away but my two sisters Marie and Jean are still alive--they are also your cousins--Aunt Rachel's daughter Jacqueline lives in Bayville, NJ but I do not know too much about the rest of the family. Your sister Marie and my sister Jean were best friends besides being cousins when growing up--My grandchildren would love to see photos of their family so once again is there anyway you can send them to me---I remember you as Conchetta playing the piano like your sister Marie=---Love your cousin Pat

Hi. I just started a search of my father's family today because we are going to Sicily. In checking I found out my Great Grandfather Gaetano Emma was also from Pietraperzia. What is really interesting is Gaetano named one of his son's (my uncle) Salvatore (Salvey is what he went by). Our family immegrated in 1913 and, yes, went to Boston. Do you think your grandfather and my great-grandfather could be related? Perhaps your Uncle Salvatore is who my uncle was named after?

Hello,
I am looking for information about my grandfather's sister Rosaria Emma.

My grandfather, Giovanni Emma first emmigrated from Pietraperzia in 1911 where he went to live with his uncle Salvatore Emma at 3 north square, Boston. He was 18 at the time. I am looking for information of his sister Rosaria who never came to the US and as far as I can tell lived on via montagna in Pietraperzia around 1911. He returned from Pietraperzia with his wife Michelina Digregorio and infant son Michele. I would also like to know more about his father, Michelle Emma and his mother Filipa Piccicuto Emma. Here is the pedigree that I have so far:
http://trees.ancestry.com/tree/12195195/family/pedigree#pedi...

My Grandfather Francesco Emma, I believe was born near Millitello Val Catania in Sicily. He came to the US with my gramdmother Maria and my Uncle Mike. I don't know much about him or where our people were really from. Unfortunately, he died before I was born, in 1948. I know he had many brothers and a couple of sisters that came to the US. And he himself had 8 children who lived to adulthood. I don't know if this helps you. I believe my grandmothers name was Maria Romagna, but I can't be sure, that's what it looks like on the passenger list.

p.s. My Uncle Mike once said that our name was cut many years ago...it was originally something like Emmalin or Emmenstein or something like that.

Hi again, I pulled my notes back out. I have Antonio on the 1900, 1920, and 1930 census for Providence, RI. In 1900 he is listed as Tony..wife Maggie and children James, Annie, Katy, Rosie, Jennie, and my granfather Carlo. It looks like they immigrated the same year as your Marcellino. I remember my Aunt saying something about Antonio being born in a place that sounds like Fontagrecca Italy? Are you familiar with that? Do you have Marcellino's parents names? Thank you! Do you believe Antonio and Marcellino were brothers? Do you know their parents names?....Thank you for anything you wish to share. I remember my dad telling us as kids that there were other Emma's in the phone book (Cranston, RI area) but he didn't think they were related to our family...again, thank you.

Hello, I received your email message today. My great-grandfather was Marcellino Emma, born in 1862. His wife was Filomena or Philomena DeCeasre, who both emigrated from Italy. They lived in Providence, RI, and had sons named Louis, Carmino, and Giovanni Emma, and 2 daughters, Antoinetta and Mary Emma. Mary Emma was my grandmother on my Mother's side. This information can be found on the 1920 Federal Census for Providence, RI. I am not sure if any of Marcellino's sibling emigrated to the US. Let me know if you know of any connection. Thank-You Jo-Ann Basso

Emma Weldon

I am looking for information regarding an Emma Weldon, who lived in Rome, Georgia (Floyd County). She lived there when she married my grandfather L. C. Calahan on August 9, 1904. She gave birth to a child, my mother, Marion Roberta Calahan on April 5, 1906 in Rome, Georgia. I have just started my search of family history, and unfortunately this is the only information I have on my maternal grandmother,

If any one has any information, please share with me.

Thanks
