      <description>Looking for info on Civil War veteran Jacob Emmitt Jr. who served with the 87th Pennsylvania Infantry.&lt;br&gt;&lt;br&gt;Emmett, Jr., Jacob, Adj Co K; mustered Aug 24, 1861; discharged Oct 14, 1863, on a surgeon's certificate; born Dec 15, 1830, the son of Jacob &amp;amp; Lydia Ilgenfritz (I also have his mother as Juliana Eichelberger); died Nov 1, 1881, in Minneapolis, Hennepin County, Minnesota; previously served with the 2nd Pa Inf; a dry goods salesman from York; moved to Minneapolis, Minnesota, 10 days after mustering out of the 87th, supposedly to improve his health; &lt;br&gt;</description>

      <description>Hello, &lt;br&gt;My GG grandmother was Kathryn Emmit she was supposedly from Germany. She supposedly married Lemaul Eckert (unknown location) prior to 1860. She had several children including my g grandfather George Emmit Eckert, b. 1860 in Monroe, MI. George may have had a brother Frank that lived in Kansas at one time. &lt;br&gt;Does this sound familiar to anyone out there?? Please help. Robin.</description>
