The name 'Guinevre' is one theory but I was informed the 'son of jenifer' theory is more likly.I was told back in the 15th-16th centry peoples name was derived from 'son of' ie son of blacksmith now known as smith and in Cornwall about this time I was told the name Enifer/Enefer was starting to appear. I hope this helps

Hi,

The Enefer part of my surname comes from my wifes side of the family.....

She is the last in her immediate family who could carry the name forward.

We now have a little boy and girl to carry forward the beautiful name.

first time on this site I thought the Enefer's were a bit thin on the ground. I am based in Wolverhampton can anyone give any suggestion to the origin of the name?. Thanks in advance
