I amhaving a hard time finding my grandfathers birth record. On the 1901 census it says he was born in Eastbourne. My father always thought he was born in Hastings which is nearby. I am wondering if he was born someplace around these areas and said Hastings or Eastbourne as the nearest big town. I cant find him on the 1881 census)There is a Henry on there but its not my Henry) Any ideas on how I can look into the parish records that are around this area.Or, if anyone has any other ideas that might help, I would really appreciate it. I live in the States.
