I'm trying to find anyone who may know exactly when Gabriella Gianniny/Giannini Engart/Engard/Enyart died and where she's buried. She and her husband, Edgar Beuregard Engart (b. May 1856 - d. 23 Sep 1907) lived in Clifton Forge, VA. He was killed in a train wreck near Clifton Forge in 1907. According to the US Census for 1910, Gabriella lived in a house on Main Street with her three young children: Edgar Arlington Engart, Mamie L. Engart, and Louise P. Engart. By 1920, Gabriella is nowhere to be found and her children are living in the home of her sister, and my great-grandparents, Benjamin H. Thomas and Virgilia Alice Gianniny Thomas. It has always been understood that she had died before 1920 and was buried in Crown Hill Cemetery in the Engart family plot with her mother Lavinia, her husband, Edgar B., and several other relatives. But, imagine my surprise when I discovered that the Public Works Department for Clifton Forge has no record of Gabriella being buried in Crown Hill Cemetery! So, now I'm left with no record of her exact date of death, no proof of where she died, and no proof where she was buried. If any descendant of the Gianniny or Engart family lines has any information about Gabriella please contact me.
