Robert G. English, Sr.
Robert G. English, Sr., age 86,
of Erie, passed away Saturday June 14th, 2008 at the Village at Luther Square. Born February 2nd, 1922 in Erie he was the son of the late Martin and Pearl Daugherty English Leube and a step-son of the late Frederick Leube."
Robert was a veteran of World War II where he was a member of the Army Air Force and was honored with the Good Conduct Medal. Later he became the shop supervisor at Continental Rubberworks where he worked for many years before retiring. He was preceded in death by: his wife, Lisa Mary George English in April;
his son, Robert G. English Jr.;
two brothers, Ross and Harold English.
Survivors include: his daughter, Deborah L. English, of Erie; three grandchildren, Robert “R.J.” English, Cassie English, and Callie English all of Erie;
a sister, Virginia English Leube of Erie;
a daughter-in-law, Patricia Suppa English of Erie; three sister-in-laws, Gina George,
Velma Titter,
and Myrna Diamond all of California;
and many nieces and nephews. Friends may call on Monday at the Brugger Home for Funerals LLP from 2 to 5 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. Services will be held there on Tuesday at 11 a.m. with Rev. Bernhard A. Bischoff officiating. Burial will be in Laurel Hill Cemetery
