Scratched by a woman's hat pin which was thrust into his cheek accidentally, while he was riding on a street car in Boston, Captain Andrew Englund of Peak's Island, Maine, died at the city hospital following an attack of erysipelas which developed after the cheek has puffed up from the wound.
