I just stumbled onto this website and saw your message. I am part of the Harlan county, KY Enix's. I have also been tring to find theorigin of the name. I discovered a town named Enix in the southern region of spain called Almeria. I e:mailed the realtor in Spain who had listed a piece of property there, he thought the name/word was either an ancient roman word or perhaps a Moorish word as it is in the area that was occupied by the Moors. I will try to send you what I have. I reciently was in contact with a lady Atty. in Genovia who is also rerearching our name. Oh, I am in St. Louis, MO
