Hi, Lewis Enke and wife Elizabeth were baptismal sponsors for my 2nd. great grandfather Lewis Haney, b. 1813 in Mahoning Twp., Carbon, at that time Northampton County PA. The baptism occured at the Ben Salem Church off Rt. 895 east of the Lehigh River, near today's Ashfield. So I can guarantee that Lewis and wife were in Northampton County, now Carbon in 1813. If you would like more information contact me directly at judyd @ shenhgts . net (no spaces between as shown, I do that to confound harvesters), I'll be happy to share what I have.
