Teresa, I'm delighted to hear from you. I think I received an email from you (Teresa Enke Wolford?) in January 2001 that you had sent in late December 2000. I responded when I saw it but never heard back. I was sure I'd lost you forever!
My husband's mother was Leva, Milo's sister's, only daughter, Carolyn. Carolyn's still alive and living in Arizona.
All I know almost nothing about Bertha's death for sure. Carolyn says that Leva was driving her mother through the mountains in Colorado or New Mexico and there was a car accident that killed Bertha. That does agree with obituaries I've seen of other family members that don't mention Leva as still living, etc. My best estimate, if Carolyn's piecing together of the story is correct, would be that she died about 1920. What is the story as you've heard it?
How old was Milo when she died? If I'm remembering correctly, I've seen conflicting dates for Milo's birth. What do you know? Do you know anything about Ira and Bertha's family?
Most importantly, please keep in contact with me. I'd love to share information. I'd love to exchange postal addresses, if possible, since email addresses are rather changeable.
