I am interested in finding the ancestors of John Joseph ENNEKING, America's first impressionist artist. Born 4 Oct 1841 at Minster, Auglaize Co., OH to Joseph and Margaretha [BRAMLAGE] ENNEKING, he married 14 Oct 1864 at Boston, Mary E. ELLIOTT. They lived in Hyde Park, Norfolk Co., MA where he died Nov 1916. Joseph was b abt 1810 in Germany [probably Pldenberg] and m 12 Feb 1836 Margaretha at Mercer Co., OH. I have no additional information on Joseph and Margaretha and their parents information is what I seek.
