Ethan F. Ennest, age 83, passed away Sunday afternoon after an extended illness at his home here. The greater part of his life has been lived here in Applegate where he has made many friends. He is survived by his widow and three daughters, Mrs. Ella Deemer of Detroit, Mrs. George Evans of Chicago, and Mrs. Nelson Ferriby of Croswell, and two sons, Archie of Applegate and Elmer of Vassar, besides several grandchildren and a host of other relatives. Funeral services were held from the Methodist church Tuesday afternoon at 2 o'clock. Rev. Trask of Carsonville officiated and burial was in the Croswell cemetery. ----- Jeffersonian, June 5, 1931
