Roy Ennest Passes Away
Roy Delbert Ennest, 48, died Monday in his home north of Lexington after an illness of several months.
Funeral services were conducted at 2 p. m. Wednesday in his home and at 2:30 p. m. in Mt. Pleasant Methodist church. Rev. Frank Purdy officiated with burial in the Croswell cemetery.
Mr. Ennest is survived by his widow, the former Miss Gladys Matthews whom he married on December 22, 1915; a nephew, Edwin Matthews, who has made his home with Mr. and Mrs. Ennest fro several years; his mother, Mrs. Lela Pratt, Carsonville, and two brothers, Ross Ennest, Peck, and Henry Chisholm, of Clarkston, Mich.
He was born September 12, 1895, near Applegate and had lived in this vicinity all his life.
The pall bearers were Harry Clark, Charles Clark, Stanley Brown, Warren Parker, Wade Colbeck and Wilson McCullough. ----- Jeffersonian, August 11, 1944
