Do not know if there is any connection or not.
I haven't gone back very far with my ennis family.
The John Joseph Ennis I have was born the year yours immigrated (1879) Don't know if his father, John Ennis,
had any brothers that would fit the bill. If I come across
anything I'll let you know.
We had a family friend by the name Holloway who was killed in a train accident in New Zealand in the 50's. He had
come out fron England.

My grandfather, John Joseph Ennis (sometimes shown as Joseph John Ennis), 1853-1936, was born in Ireland, immigrated to Philadelphia 1879, married Rose Bagley 1885.
Could there be a connection?

my grandmother Marguerite Ennis was born 18 June 1877
North Dublin.
Her parents were John Ennis and Teresa Ennis (nee Mooney)
they were married 14th November 1872 at the St. Mary's Cathedral Marlboro,North Dublin.
James Ennis is listed as being John's father and
James Mooney being Teresa's father. John and Teresa lived at 38 Moore Street.
Also have a Christopher James b. December 1873
Teresa Mary Ennis b. 23 October 1878 (she never married)
Ann Joseph Bridget Ennis b. 13 March 1876.
John Joseph Ennis b.10 Jan 1879

There were apparently about 13 children in this family originally.
Marguerite ended up going to New Zealand early 1900's and married and had two boys, one of whom was my father.
Any other info on this family would be appreciated

Hello Kraig,

I'm very interested in learning about your old family home and the occupants of Naul Park House, The Naul, Co Dublin.

I am doing some research and I am trying to gather some information on the Markey family who had ran a very successful racing yard at Naul Park. John Markey apparently traained a useful mare named "Little Hack II" (foaled in 1899, by Hackler), which was a winner of six steeplechases, including the Irish Grand National, twice.

I know it’s a long shot but do you, any of your family or any old neighbours know anything about the Markey Family, John Markey and his wife, Bridget Markey (nee Dennis), who would have been 45 yrs at the time of the 1911 Census.

Did you say that you know of some old man in the area that I could ask, please?

1. Bradley b abt 1920 in Stafford Co Va marr Virginia Young. Need his parents & siblings. She was the dau of Eddie Young & Vinney Powell.
2. Ellie b abt 1900 in NC marr Oscar B. Giles also b NC, need their parents & siblings. Their son Vernon b abt 1923 in NC marr Dora Frances Beasley 14 Aug 1948 in Caroline Co Va. She was the dau of John B. Beasley & Ocie Marion Chenault. Need children for Vernon & Dora.
3. James b abt 1860 in Caroline Co Va marr Columbia. Need her last name & their parents & siblings. Their dau Blanche b abt 1880 marr Eugene Broaddus son of Silas Wilbur Broaddus & Emma Dulaney Campbell.

I don't know who the parents were. In the 1900 census Hillsboro,Lawrence Co AL. It list him born in Mississippi also where his parents were born. I haven't found them on census in Mississippi as yet. I'm interested in his wife Kate Childers, who was a sister to my G.grandmother(Eliza Childers) who was married to a Beatty in the 1900 census Slough Dist of Limestone co. I appreciate your response.

I can put R.W. Senior? in Sumter County (south-western AL) by 1845 (R.W. Jr.'s birth) and that R.W. Senior likely met his wife Amanda in North Carolina around 1832.

I'm just having trouble going further back than R.W. Senior, if that is even his name. I'm basing his name on fact that a cousin is R.W. IV and counting back from there?

While it could be that they came through Cherokee County (Northeast AL) on the way to Sumter, it would have been only for + or - 5 years and George and James would likely be cousins.

Always worth checking out though, thanks!

If you find that you need information on Ennis relatives in / around Livingston or Sumter County Alabama I'm likely to have anything you need - just let me know.

Edward was the son of Ernest Edward and Jennie Gregory Ennis. He was born on 10 Oct 1919, in Buies Creek, Harnett County, North Carolina. Killed at Blatzheim, Germany, in Battle of the Bulge. His body was returned home and he was buried in Stewart Family Cemetery, Coats, NC. Hope this helps.

I am looking for any information on Edward Roswell Ennis, born North Carolina, 1919, killed in world war II on 28 February, 1945 in Blatzheim, Germany. He, my father and 6 others were killed at the same time by enemy fire.
Photos or burial location or anything you might know about him would be helpful.
I do know his body was brought back to the states, but I don't know where he is buried. My father and one other are buried in Belgium, two others in the Long Island National Cemetery. Trying to find out what happened to the other 4.

You may want to check on the last name spelled Innis or Inniss. In the 1870 State of North Carolina Census, Unity Township, Rowan County, Salisbury, page 5, Dwelling #4, family # 32, lists the following;

William Inniss, 33, M, Farm laborn
Clementine 30, F, keeping house
William 9, M, at home
Thomas 7, M, at home (could be yours)

I am looking for information on Robert W. (a.k.a. R.W.)Ennis who born 03/06/1842 in Warsaw?, Sumter County, Alabama, married Annie Garett of Greene County, Alabama (via North Carolina) in 1868, and died on 10/29/1918 in Livingston, Sumter County Alabama.

R.W.'s mother was Amanda Phillips and was born 02/17/1812 in North Carolina, married then was widowed by R.W.'s father? and remarried James P. Kennard, then died 08/24/1870 in Livingston, Sumter County Alabama.

I am trying to find information about R.W.'s father, who also might be named Robert Washington Ennis and could hail from either North Carolina or Alabama, and appears to have died +/- 1848.

looking for my ennis relatives thomas leonard ennis born 23 mar 1910, died 13 may 1964 was my grandfather. Mary Ethel Felkins is my grandmother born 31 oct 1913 died 19 may 1978 in blount county, tennesse. I can find their grave site but I can't seem to locate where he was born or his father or any other ennis besides my dad charles thomas, his sister barbara jane, and dead brother william robert. I am searching for information on William Ben's first wife. Not sure of 1st name, last name was Rice or Wright. They had a daughter Wincie Angeline b. 9/2/1894 and married John Wiley Pendergrass... their daughter Violet b.11/20/1913 married Esca Montgomery Ridgeway.. Violet was my grandmother. I have not been able to find anymore info on Wincie's mother. If you have more please contact me.

William Ben was my great great grandfather. He was married before R. Killingsworth ( you may have this already) My great grandmother - Wincie Angline Ennis Pendergrass was his daughter from the first marriage William Ben and Ruthie P Killingsworth did have a son George Wesley born abt June 1912 I have just recently started searching info, so a lot of what I have is what family members have told me. I do not have the name of his first wife, who would be my g-great grandmother, only that the last name was rice or wright. If you have more, would you please let me know.

Thomas L Ennis age 56 born in Indiana he was a conductor on steam railroad
Nina age 34 his wife from Tenn.
son-Thomas L. jr. 9 years old born in Tenn.
son- Charles J.also born in Tenn.
The parents of Thomas L Ennis Sr. were from North Carolina (father) Penn.(mother)

Hello, my grandmother was Ruthie Ennis.You were looking for Gracie Rice, 1st wife of Ben. I remember my grandmother and some of her children talking about Violet. Gracie is buried at Concord Baptist Church in Albertville,Al. Her grave is not marked or it's just a rock.She died in 1906. Got my info from my dad and other siblings before they died.

Aunt Daisy and Aunt Maebel are the only ones left now. Aunt Daisy moved to Alemeda Courts. That all the info I have on Gracie but Aunt Daisy or aunt Maebell could probably tell you more.
