Found your query re ENS and ties to MARTENS through marriage.
My great-grandfather PETER MARTENS (born 1864 - at Blumenfeld, Russia) arrived in Manitoba with his parents - CORNELIUS MARTENS (born 1832) and HELENA WIELER (born 1835) and siblings in JULY 1875 from Russia.
In 1883 he married AGATHA ENS (born 1858 - at Schoendorf, Russia), daughter of DAVID ENS (born 1831) and KATHARINA PETKAU (born 1825).
MY QUERY is more to the ENS side - as I virtually have no information.
ANY HELP appreciated
