Surnames: Ensign, Ensighn
Looking for one of the above Ensign's. I believe they are actually the same person, just spelled differently.
My Grandmother Ensign said her Grandfather's name was Torrensen.
1840 census shows Torrismon (Livingston County, NY)
1855 NYS census shows T.D. Ensign (North Dansville, NY)
Any help appreciated.
