Alice Marjory Enslin, 96, died Friday eveneing at Wayne Woodland Manor, Waymart, where she had been a resident since 1997. Her husband of 63 years, Cecil A. Enslin, died in 1986.
Born April 10, 1906, in Simon, she was the daughter of the late Arthur and Anna Rauschmaier Daniels. She attended the Frisbee School on Cortez Road, and resided most of her life in South Canaan Township, where she and her husband were engaged in farming. She attended the South Canaan Free Methodisit Church.
She enjoyed the outdoors and liked working her vegetable and flower gardens. She and her husband enjoyed square dancing and fishing together and she was also an avid quilter.
Surviving are a brother, Ralph, Carbondale; two sisters, Berneda Clift, Waymart and Mable Robbins, Cicero, N.Y.: nieces, nephews and cousins.
She was preceded in death by two infant sons, William and Leo; five brothers, Herbert, Lawerance, Gerald, Harvey and Leo, who died in infancy; and a sister Frances Black.
The funeral will be Tuesday at 11 a.m. from the Jenkins Funeral Home, 269 Belmont St., Waymart, with services by the Rev. WIlliam Ruchnik, pastor of the South Canaan Free Methodist Church. Internment, East Canaan Cemetery.
