I was on here a few years back...maybe 8-10yrs ago looking for information on my fathers lineage George Milton Enslow son of George Marion Enslow son of George A. Enslow and Bessie Bongard of Kansas....my parents GeorgeMilton and Sylvia Woodworth have done some research also on the line but we have found little that can be substantiated! If anyone has info on my George A. Enslow who was Married to Bessie Bongard and subsequently divorced in 1902 I would be very appreciative! You can contact me at cheridarn@yahoo.com . There was some thought that our George A Enslow was decendant possibly of David Enslow or poss of the Joseph Enslow line out of the midwest area...can anyone substantiate this???

Thursday, February 20, 1908

MRS. MARY ENSLOW departed this life at the home of her son, JOHNE ENSLOW,
Feb. 13, 1908, after a prolonged illness. Her maiden name was BELL and she
was born Nov. 10, 1834, in Juniata County, Pa. She was married to WILLIAM
ENSLOW, Nov. 10, 1840. They came to Iowa in 1853, to Lee County, where her
husband died in 1865. She came with her family to Lucas County in 1868, and
has resided here ever since. She was the mother of nine children, of whom
seven survive her, five of whom were permitted to be with her in her last
illness and when death came.

She was an affectionate mother, a loyal friend, a kind neighbor, and her
kindred and friends will miss her greatly. The funeral services were held
on Friday at 2 o'clock, from the home, in charge of Rev. A.W. Armstrong, and
interment took place in Derby Cemetery.

I am looking for anyone who knows what happened to Francis (b. 1879 Il) and Gertie's (Lyon) (b. 1882 ) daughter, Helen Enslow (b. 1907). Also did they have any other children? Francis (who might also go by Frank) was the son of Albert Enslow of Kewanee Ill.

Her 1st husband was James JEROME, who lived in Clayton County IA. After he died in 1869, she married 1878 Orange BALL in Wisconsin. In 1894 she married my ancestor Caleb TURNER in Prairie du Chien, Crawford County WI
She died in 1912 and is buried in Clayton IA next to her 1st husband under name Jerome. I have a feeling she may have had more husbands-- RUSSELL? KAUFMAN (KAUPER?)?

NOTE: Word "mouity"....possible that the estate to be divided in two parts, the first going to the wife of DAVID BLAINE, who was deceased and his children. Also the children of JANE ENSLOW, a niece. Evidently JANE ENDSLOW and DAVID BLAINE were brother and sister ????

The second part of the estate was to go to his relatives....BLAIR.

His wife name was SARAH. The whole estate real and personal was left to the wife during her life. After her, to be divided into two equal shares, one moiety/moriety/mouity (?) to be divided between testators own relations and other between his wives relation.

First mority into 2 equal shares out of first share to Susannah, wife of my nephew, DAVID BLAINE, and the remaining part to the lawful children of my nephew DAVID BLAINE.

Out of the second share, I give and bequeath unto the lawful children of my aforesaid JANE ENSLO.

Out of the second moiety, between my wives relations, to my nephew JAMES BLAIR MITCHELL; to my sister-in-law, MARTHA BLAIR; to my newhew JOHN MITCHELL; to my nephew JAMES BLAIR, son of my brother-in-law, JOSEPH BLAIR; to my niece SARAH BLAIR, dau of JOSEPH BLAIR, whom he had by ANN MCCUNNSEY/MCCUMSEY (?); to my niece SARAH BLAIR, dau of my brother-in-law, JAMES BLAIR. Had a brother-in-law JOSEPH BLAIR, ANDREW BLAIR, JAMES BLAIR.

Hello-----I'm looking for information on THEODORE J.ENSLOW, born About 1843, somewhere in Illinois. His parents were A. and JULIA BALL ENSLOW. He first married NELLIE, and she died In Payne County, Oklahoma, 12-29--1893.

He secondly married LIZZIE WOOD EASTLAND, daughter of DAVID M. and OLIVE LEAMING WOOD, on November 6, 1895, in Payne County, Oklahoma.

Am searching for information about He and LIZZIE and to see if they had any children. On the 1910 Payne County, Oklahoma Census, LIZZIE is listed as head of the household, so THEODORE must have died before that.

If anyone has any information on these people OR DAVID OR OLIVE LEAMING WOOD, while they lived in Stillwater, Payne County, Oklahoma, I would really appreciate hearing from you.
