on Jan 24, 1877 she married Samuel Ent in Rocky Ford, Colorado,

Sam Ent was born 2 Oct 1846 in Dillsborough, In (which was then in Dearborn County). How Sam & some of his family ended up west, I don't know.

You have living relative named John Ent who either still has or used to have a pair of silver spurs owned by someone in your family tree... cool, huh?

Anyway, this Samuel is the son of John Davis Ent and Martha Ann Hare (he was born in Butler Co, Oh) they had at least 10 kids. They had land in Ripley Co, which was divided amongst some of the kids... census records indicated some deafness.

Anyway, John D. Ent is the son of Samuel M. Ent and Sarah Davis. He was born in NJ.. she in Ohio.

Samuel M. Ent is the son of Charles Ent and Mary Johnson. Charles was also born in NJ. He was a war of 1812 veteran. One of your relatives is trying to get his gravesite in Ohio marked as a vet site - he has a big tombstone.

Charles Ent is the son of Theobald Ent and Maria Barbara Haas of Germantown, PA


Theobald is the son of Johann Theobald Endt and Sybilla of Germantown. The Endt house still stands today. There is an idea that Johann may have some from Switzerland but I don't know where that originated.

There is supposed to be an Ent Bible somewhere but I don't know who has it.
