I am a descendant of Mathias Entinger from MN. This was my grandfather. He married Theresa Wermerskirchen and lived on a farm outside of Iona, MN. I never met him as he died of diabetes and his death was before my birth in 1951. The following information comes from the book "The Wermerskirchens A Family History." This book was written by Rosely Koenig, Jordan, MN, in 1983. Of course, Theresa Wermerskirchen married Matt Entinger. Matt was born in 1862 and died in 1931 of diabetes, my mother told me.Theresa was born Oct. 1877 and died on 12-21-64. (She was the only grandparent on both sides that I knew. All the other grandparents had died.) They were married on 11-14-1900. They had 11 children:
Aloysius born 1901 died age 6 months of pneumonia.
Elizabeth b. 1903 d. 1983 (my Aunt Liz)
Peter b. 1905 d. 1966 (my Uncle Pete)
Margaret b. 1906 d. 1974 (my crippled Aunt Margaret. She got polio when she was very young and never married.Margaret and Baltas lived with my grandmother, Theresa for many years.)
Baltes b. 1901 d. April 2000 (my Uncle Baldy who was a terrible pincher and never married.)
Lawrence b. 1911 d. 1931 of scarlet fever
Regina b. 1913 d. 1940 in car accident
Raymond b. 1915 d. age 1 1/2 months old of flu.
Celestine b. 1917 (this is my Mom) She married my dad, Paul Sieve. Dad died in 1977 of lung cancer. There are 7 of us--all still alive: Dennis b. 1943, Luana b. 1947, Jane (me) b.1951, Marcy b. 1952, Glenn b. 1957, Lois b. 1959, and Brian b. 1963. In 1981, Celestine remarried to Joe Maiers, my step-dad. He died in 1990.
Delores b. 1920 (my Aunt Dorie)
Richard b. 1924 d. Oct. 1988 (my Uncle Richie)
I would really love the info on the Entingers from PA. Do you know what country they came from and when? Please email me personally when you get the time. I have a huge book about my grandmother's side. But I know very little about my grandfather's side. I don't think that my Mom knows much either and she's now 83. She would love to hear any info.Thank you.
Janie
